We would appreciate it that you only submit this survey once.   Thank you for your participation.

SSBK Club Administration.

It is completely up to you if you want to attach your details to this submission.  If you choose to anonymously fill in the survey we will not be able to contact you if you wish to discuss your feedback.  You can separately use our contacts page to directly email the office bearers of the club.

Southside Beekeepers Club is currently reviewing our course structure and want to make it not only easier for our members to attend a course, but also offer a wider variety of courses and offer specialized more advanced courses in different areas of beekeeping.

We would really like your feedback on these questions, even if you have already attended one or both of our courses.

Southside Beekeepers Club owns and manages a number of hives at The Briars Estate in Mt Martha.  During the honey season and a couple of times in winter we Manage the hives - health check, swarm management, feeding, supering, splitting etc.

Some of our club members also invite new members to watch and assist when Managing their own hives. This is a great way to get hands on with the bees before jumping into the deep end.

Even if you are anonymously filling out this survey, we would still like to know a few things about your hives so we can get a better understanding on the types of members we have in our club.

This information will help when we are planning new courses, organizing events and guest speakers, and it will give us a good picture of what sort of people the club is attracting.

Anyone who keeps one or more hives of bees in Victoria is required to register with the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) as a beekeeper.

Registration enables the department to conduct disease prevention and control programs for the benefit of beekeepers. This includes the mailing of helpful information from time to time.

There is no charge for registration when a person keeps at least one hive but not more than 5 hives and registers online using the DEDJTR website.

If you have not registered we can help you register.  Ask one of our senior members at the next club meeting to guide you through the registration process on one of our online terminals.  Otherwise you can follow our LINKS page off the top menu of the web site to direct you to the official registration page after you have filled in the survey.

We thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey.  Remember if you do wish to discuss any of your feedback with club officials they are fully contactable through the Website's contact page, or you can chat to us personally at the club meetings.

All your answers will be kept in strictest confidence and will be abide by our privacy policy as shown on our website.
